Third Space Learning's high quality primary school tuition is proven to help children succeed in maths. Used and recommended by thousands of teachers and parents across the UK, the online lessons with a personal tutor are both fun and targeted to the needs of the child.
Third Space Learning provides focused one to one tuition that is specific to each child's individual needs.

Tuition at primary school is generally used for one of two purposes:
The earlier a child can be supported in their learning the greater the impact of the tuition – which is why we recommend starting at primary school age rather than waiting till GCSE or A level.
Private tuition is a popular choice for many schools and parents because lessons can be targeted entirely to each individual child’s gaps. According to studies by the leading educational research centre the Education Endowment Foundation, one to one tuition can add up to 5 months’ progress to a child’s learning.
In a class of 30 at school it can be difficult for primary school teachers to provide individual support to the pupils who need it most.
Our community of tutors is on hand to provide pupils with focused, one-to-one attention when and where they need it. Tutors are trained to spot and address misconceptions as they occur, helping to boost pupil progress more quickly.
Our online maths lessons give pupils the opportunity to talk through maths questions and build key numeracy skills with their own personal mathematics teacher.
Tutors ask questions like 'how did you work that out?' and 'could you use any other methods?' to ensure pupils have understood the underlying maths behind each question, not just a quick way to find the answer.
Whilst maths success extends beyond getting good grades, practising exam techniques is a great way to help children feel confident for any upcoming tests.
Our online lessons are designed to make sure pupils fully understand each topic before moving onto applying that knowledge to exam-style questions, helping to build familiarity and confidence.
Because all our online lessons are one-to-one, our maths tutors can provide real-time feedback to help pupils understand where they might have gone wrong and discuss strategies for reaching the correct answer.
Parents and teachers can also access regular reports to understand where children are making good progress and which concepts still need more work.
The Third Space Learning model of primary school tuition has been developed over several years. Each pupil connects to their own personal qualified teacher who has been specially trained to teach online maths lessons to children from 6 to 12 years old.
Over several weeks a child will then follow a bespoke sequence of lessons following the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 primary maths national curriculum.
For pupils receiving private tutoring while at school, their programme of lessons will continue all term, adapting to the requirements of their year group and needs. For example in Year 6, their schoolwork and tuition will be designed to prepare them for the national SATs tests in May.
For primary school students working with our maths teachers at home, they can have as many or as few maths lessons as they like each week; scaling up their online tuition as necessary, for example in advance of entrance exams to secondary schools or grammar schools or should we experience future school closures.
Third Space Learning has been great for SATs preparation but also for developing fluency and reasoning across KS2.
We have had 100% success in KS2 SATs with the pupils we have had take part in Third Space Learning.
After two terms of one to one tuition from Third Space Learning, not only did our pupils reach expected standard, but they doubled their scores in KS2 SATs.
My son is in year 6, he has been tutored for 5 months. Miss Himika is really good teacher. She is patient and teaches well. Her performance stands out from the rest clearly. Honestly one of the best teachers.
Third Space Learning helped my Year 2 boy go from the bottom of the class to the top in two months. The lessons were well-planned and the teaching was effective. The platform was easy to use and reliable and the support team were excellent.
