Frequently asked questions

Which is the best online maths tuition?

We believe Third Space Learning is the best online tuition for maths because we use the power of technology, not only to connect expert maths teachers with children in the UK, but also to provide engaging online maths lessons that follow the national school curriculum for KS2, KS3, and KS4.

How much does the online maths tuition cost?

Online maths tuition from Third Space Learning is on average 50% cheaper than running one to one interventions with existing school staff. As a Dfe-approved Tuition Partner, schools can use their National Tutoring Programme to cover up to 60% of the cost of tutoring. Depending on your school’s contract, this means your school will have to cover less than £8.40 per pupil per session from your existing budget, such as Pupil Premium.

Do you offer A level tuition?

At the moment we are only able to offer online maths tuition to children studying at Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Our experienced tutors are given a progamme of maths tutor training to to enable them to work with primary school pupils, revising for SATs or entrance exams, and secondary students preparing for GCSE / iGCSE level exams. Lessons are suitable for all major exam boards and matched against OCR, AQA and Edexcel syllabus. Unfortunately we are unable to provide science tutors, A level maths tutors, or English tutors or indeed preparation for Further Maths at this stage.

Is online tuition better than face to face?

It depends on the individual. We took our maths tuition online because it enables us to provide the expert one to one guidance of a private maths tutor at a rate that makes it much more affordable for schools. Our online maths tutors work in every corner of the UK from Cardiff to Carlisle, which in-person tutoring services would likely not be able to achieve. We are also able to provide multiple tutors to work with multiple children (up to 15) at the same time to better fit a school’s timetable.
