Students can only communicate with Skye during their scheduled sessions and cannot schedule AI tutoring sessions independently.
Skye engages with students through voice interaction only.
The visual component consists only of a shared online classroom displaying learning content created by Third Space Learning’s team of former teachers.
All Third Space Learning lessons:
Have been created by the Third Space Learning academic team of former teachers

Align with the UK National Curriculum
Skye does not generate lessons, cannot display anything on the screen other than these specially-created lessons, and has received specific training and prompts for every lesson.
Skye operates within strict guardrails that define the scope of its interactions, ensuring appropriate and safe engagement with students.
If a student attempts to divert the conversation from the maths being covered, Skye will respond politely and redirect the discussion back to the lesson.
Every session is recorded and transcribed, allowing us to review interactions, particularly in the case of safeguarding concerns or disclosures.
Schools can access session recordings and transcriptions by request at any point.
We only ask for data that is necessary to enable your students to progress through the tutoring effectively.
No student data, information or inputs are used to train our AI model. Skye is exclusively trained by input and prompts from our academic team.
Our robust monitoring system automatically identifies and escalates concerns, categorised from 1 (most severe) to 5 (least severe):
Category 1 safeguarding concerns trigger immediate alerts for review in near-live time before escalating to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Concerns in categories 2-5 are compiled into a report and reviewed at the end of the day and escalated to the school if necessary.
