We’ve provided online one to one maths tutoring to primary schools since 2013.
By taking all the data and insights we’ve gained in that time and using that to develop Skye, our AI voice tutor, we’ve been able to replicate the experience of a pedagogically-trained maths specialist – but even more accessible for school budgets.
AI maths tutoring from Skye is conversational; pupils talk through maths problems out loud while Skye listens and responds.

For too long, schools have had to balance who needs additional one to one support with what they can fit in their budget.
With Skye, you can run as many sessions as you need for as many Year 4-6 pupils as need it for one low fixed cost.
If you find more pupils need support as you go through the year, you won’t need to find space in the budget or need to take other pupils off the programme.
Fixed yearly prices depend on school size and start from £3,500.
Pupils sit diagnostic assessments to identify individual gaps in the topics covered in their selected programme, helping teachers and Skye to know where each pupil needs most support.
Within each lesson, Skye uses formative assessments to adapt the pathway through each lesson, providing opportunities to recap prior learning if pupils need or skipping straight to independent practice if they’re ready.
Teachers can re-order lessons to prioritise gaps diagnosed – or into any custom order – at any point.
It’s not up to Skye to generate lessons. Instead Skye has been trained to use a curriculum of maths lessons designed by our team of primary teachers to follow an “I do, we do, you do” structure.
As well as general training on maths pedagogy and effective one to one teaching, Skye has received specific training for every individual Third Space Learning lesson.
Programmes support pupils as they progress through KS2 and into Year 6.
For Year 6 pupils, Skye has been trained to build confidence and familiarity with SATs-style questions, encouraging pupils to explore the different strategies they’ll need to answer them correctly and efficiently.
Pupils work through specially-created SATs revision lessons while Skye helps them know what to look out for, like number of marks or important words in the question.
As well as using Skye for regular, scheduled sessions throughout the year, schools can also use Skye:
For intensive revision or booster sessions in the run up to SATs
For short term cover to address staff shortages or absences
As part of your homework approach
