“The progression of lessons aligns with our standards and the way we teach the concepts, and it flows with our curriculum. There’s a good balance of pictorial representations and abstract, especially for the students who need a bit more support. When I listen in to the sessions I hear students doing a really good job of explaining their thinking to their tutors which is awesome!”

Whether you have students who would benefit from more opportunities to practice grade level content ahead of state tests, or who have existing gaps from previous grades, there’s a program to suit their needs.

Lessons designed to encourage conceptual understanding

No matter the state standards, every math lesson follows an “I do, we do, you do” structure built by qualified teachers to develop understanding of grade-level math concepts and skills.

Each concept is taught step by step, with Skye drawing on prompts designed for every individual question.

Each lesson starts with a short diagnostic assessment. If a child is ready, Skye moves to independent practice. If not, Skye works through the content, adapting in real time.

Throughout, Skye uses formative assessment to catch misconceptions and give targeted hints – up to three before modelling the method.

Every lesson ends with a short summative assessment to track progress over time. Schools can also download free math worksheets to support homework and practice between lessons.

Students aren’t limited to their grade content. For example, 5th graders struggling with fractions or decimals can go back to 4th or 3rd grade, while a child who has mastered the 5th grade math curriculum can move ahead.
