No matter how much of a good teacher you are, you can never get to 30 children and do 30 different pieces of work and that is what is needed. Because it is one-on-one and to their level, it is the best type of intervention you can have.

Aligned to your state’s standards

Aligned to your state’s standards

Students need to master each standard before they move on the next, but if there are gaps remaining that’s hard to do.

Third Space Learning lessons are available for every US state standard and for common core. All you need to do is select which lessons you’d like each student’s tutor to cover.

Differentiated instruction for accelerated growth

Differentiated instruction for accelerated growth

Students only cover the skills and concepts you want them to, and tutors adapt the pitch and pace of each lesson to help each student progress.

In an independent trial, students receiving one-on-one tutoring sessions from Third Space Learning made 7 months’ progress in 14 weeks.

Scaffolded learning to close gaps

All lessons follow an ‘I do, we do, you do’ structure and scaffolded slides ensure students learn at the right pace for them.

Math Tutoring FAQs

Which math topics does Third Space Learning cover

Our online learning programs cover all 2nd-6th grade math topics from addition and subtraction to fractions, decimals and pre-calculus. Expert STEM tutors personalize each lesson to the needs of the learner, and can adapt the teaching methods to those that a child is most familiar with.

Do you provide in person tutoring services?

All our school math tutoring is delivered online in order to be as flexible and cost effective as possible for schools with budgetary restraints. Younger students are often more motivated by the online environment and school administrators and school teachers find it easier to fit online tutoring in to the time table over the school year.

How does the online tutoring work? Is it any good?

In every online math tutoring lesson student and tutor work together on a whiteboard following a sequenced learning plan that starts by developing strong foundation knowledge and progresses to more challenging math problem solving. Just as in regular schoolwork we build in regular low stakes testing with quizzes and plenty of opportunities to go it alone. In a trial using a standardized test students made double expected progress over 14 weeks with Third Space Learning.
