One to one teaching that really makes a difference
Since 2013, we’ve helped improve educational outcomes for 76,132 pupils in 2,516 schools.
Each pupil’s learning journey is tailored to their individual learning gaps, helping to accelerate maths progress and raise attainment across the school.
Maths interventions shouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all solution.
One of the main reasons pupils struggle to progress in maths is because they have outstanding gaps and misconceptions that need to be addressed before they can move on.

Boosting pupils’ verbal fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills through one to one conversation.
With Third Space Learning, pupils are encouraged to explain their thinking and justify their answers, helping to boost key skills.
Pupils aren’t just focused on finding the right answer; they’re working with their tutors to explore the maths behind each question, choose the appropriate strategy and verbalise the steps they’re taking to answer it.
This has a significant impact on pupils’ verbal fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Their learning concentrated on verbalising reasoning and understanding so they're able to recall things more quickly and explain their thinking which has led to improved confidence.

For schools looking to raise SATs attainment, our Year 6 programmes are designed with SATs in mind.
In the autumn term, lessons focus on building solid foundations and ensuring pupils are secure with core KS2 SATs content.
In the spring, our dedicated curriculum of SATs revision lessons helps to prepare Year 6 pupils for the maths papers in May. Tutors ensure that pupils are secure with each concept before moving on to applying that knowledge to SATs-style questions.
