Office & Finance Coordinator

The number of schools we work with is growing very quickly, currently over 500 across the country. If schools don’t pay us, we’ll all be heading home! So there will be a ton of invoicing and financial support we’ll need your help to manage. You’ll be sending out invoices and chasing our customers over the phone to ensure payments are done in a timely manner. You’ll also help with other finance matters such as expenses, banking, etc. This will be an opportunity for you to be exposed to this important business function and learn from our CFO, who has years of experience in this area, so it’ll be a never-ending learning experience!

In addition, you will play an important part in making sure the office is well run, and an enjoyable place to be. We’re currently a team of around 35 people in the London and growing quickly. You’ll be responsible for making sure the office runs smoothly. This could include managing cleaners, food and drink orders, office supplies, meeting rooms, etc.


Who we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who is outgoing, and able to quickly develop and foster relationships with everyone in the office, irrespective of role or seniority. You’ll also be detail oriented as that will prove very useful in your finance work. Finally, we’re looking for someone who will be proactive. You shouldn’t wait for things to run out in the office; instead you’ll always be ahead of the game and order/fix it before they become a problem.

We are a start-up, and so change is part of our day-to-day. You will be as excited as we are to face and overcome new challenges and open to the possibility of an evolving role.

User Interface Software Developer

Third Space Learning is a rapidly growing ed-tech startup based in central London. Every week our dedicated trained tutors around the world use our platform to deliver 6000 maths lessons to UK primary children, dramatically improving their chances in life.

Our long term goal is to become a world leader in online education, and we have built close relationships with industry and academia to support this. We are seeking dedicated and creative software engineers who want to join us on this exciting journey.

You'd join a growing, diverse and friendly team of developers, learning experts and sales people. The role would involve working closely with our in-house software developers, Product Owner and wider team to ensure we strike the right balance between design, tech and schedules.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn from more experienced developers and expand your skillset with the wide range of opportunities available.

Over time you'd have the chance to demonstrate the passion, technical competence and relentless attention to detail required to take a lead role in building our UI, while ensuring it is documented / shared with other developers.


  • Knowledge of technology and processes to build consumer facing high quality interactive web services & applications
  • Strong interest in design, usability and UI, coupled with a pragmatic approach to feature development
  • Flexibility to work with a TDD/agile development process, with focus to align with long term product / design goals
  • Able to proactively research and take pragmatic technical decisions (framework selection, refactoring etc)

Our current platform is built with Ruby/Rails, MySQL, JS, jQuery and WebRTC running on AWS - so knowledge / experience with those is appreciated. However we value enthusiasm, passion and ability to learn over very specific tech knowledge.

Bonus experience - nice to have

  • Previous background or academic training in design (degree, work experience etc)
  • Experience of mobile app development: iOS / Android / Cordvova
  • CSS & layout frameworks: Sass, Less, Susy
  • Experience/interest in building UIs for education and/or children
  • Contribution to OS projects
