The number of schools we work with is growing very quickly, currently over 500 across the country. If schools don’t pay us, we’ll all be heading home! So there will be a ton of invoicing and financial support we’ll need your help to manage. You’ll be sending out invoices and chasing our customers over the phone to ensure payments are done in a timely manner. You’ll also help with other finance matters such as expenses, banking, etc. This will be an opportunity for you to be exposed to this important business function and learn from our CFO, who has years of experience in this area, so it’ll be a never-ending learning experience!
In addition, you will play an important part in making sure the office is well run, and an enjoyable place to be. We’re currently a team of around 35 people in the London and growing quickly. You’ll be responsible for making sure the office runs smoothly. This could include managing cleaners, food and drink orders, office supplies, meeting rooms, etc.
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who is outgoing, and able to quickly develop and foster relationships with everyone in the office, irrespective of role or seniority. You’ll also be detail oriented as that will prove very useful in your finance work. Finally, we’re looking for someone who will be proactive. You shouldn’t wait for things to run out in the office; instead you’ll always be ahead of the game and order/fix it before they become a problem.

You'd join a growing, diverse and friendly team of developers, learning experts and sales people. The role would involve working closely with our in-house software developers, Product Owner and wider team to ensure we strike the right balance between design, tech and schedules.

Our current platform is built with Ruby/Rails, MySQL, JS, jQuery and WebRTC running on AWS - so knowledge / experience with those is appreciated. However we value enthusiasm, passion and ability to learn over very specific tech knowledge.

In order to deliver one-to-one maths tutoring we have a platform that allows pupils in the UK to connect with our tutors across the world. Your main role is to ensure the smooth running of over 3,000 lessons every week. You’ll spend most of your time providing real-time customer support to our schools over the phone. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved with other projects, such as improving user experience, providing IT support or teaching schools how to use our platform.
Responsibilities and tasks include:

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys providing customer service and feels comfortable working with computers – someone whose friends come to them for help to connect to the wireless when the laptop won’t seem to cooperate. A clear and confident manner on the phone is critical as you’ll be in contact with schools (students & teachers) and tutor centres throughout the day, especially to navigate through issues with individuals who aren't particularly tech-savvy or compliant. Finally, you’ll be an optimist by nature and maintain a positive attitude.
